Our Love Story + Valentine’s Day Collection 2017 by Origami Owl

This man, I married 11 years ago on a Tuesday, November 22, 2005.

We tell people we met in college via an accounting class – it’s true – but it was an online class I had already dropped by the time he contacted me through messenger.

Months later, January 1, 2005, we met face to face. It wasn’t love at first sight or I just refused to see love. Even at the young age of 24, I was just over the love thing. An unhealthy and abusive relationship since sophomore in highschool had a lot to do with it. How could relationships get so bad?

So I meet this guy and he wants to love me and it wasn’t just the typical I love you to you know what. He wanted to take care of this broken, fragile, crazy, non-trusting, cold and yet emotional girl inside. He did all the right things. I kicked it around like it was a temporary joke of his. How could someone be so loving? Seriously, loving, every single day?

I guess because I wouldn’t take him seriously, he proposes a couple of months later. I still didn’t take him seriously. He was proposal #3. This is no game or contest. I said, you know what marriage is, right? It’s forever until we die even if you hate me and I hate you very much. Leave if you can’t do that. He stuck around.

Nov 22, 2005, because we both had a day off, we had this DIY, basic wedding, reception was at a restaurant we really liked eating at. We don’t even have wedding pictures. I fell asleep ? once I hit the bed on our wedding night ?.

11 years now. He has shown me love that I never knew existed. Many times I’ve asked, how can marriage be so amazing? We don’t have the picture perfect things but this man and me, we are like cookies and milk. God is so good. And just like our wedding night, I fell asleep before he gets to the room. Sorry honey, you know I love you.

What’s your love story? I have heard all kinds and I have learned that no matter how it starts – whether it be fairy tale – or not so pretty, the more important part of it all is the journey that the people in it take. How to Order from Origami Owl’s Interactive Summer Catalog

Origami Owl has made it easy to order a complete locket ensemble with with their online Summer catalog. Done are the days when catalogs are just for looking at already made and assembled lockets and you would recreate that look piece by piece on your own on a designer’s website. Now, if you like that look, click on it, add to bag, make some tweaks to personalize it just for you, and proceed to check out.

Here is a step by step on how this catalog works with my ecommerce site.

First, go to http://bit.ly/locketsandcharms and you will see this:

Second, click on the > above the catalog and you will get to this page.

The locket ensembles that can go straight into your shopping cart with blink in pink for a second. Choose one and you are shopping.

For those who need to walk-though of the process, here is my tutorial to show you how it all works:

Click on the locket ensemble with Coney Island (center left column) on it and you will get this on the following screen:

Click on Add to Bag and will get the following:

Click on Proceed to Checkout and it will not go forward. This is because this one has an Inscriptions piece. Click on Inscribe and you will see a similar popup. Choose your Inscriptions Style (6 to choose from) and type in what you’d like. I live in San Diego so I put that in like so:

Check off the Terms and Conditions box and Save your Inscriptions. You will be then directed to Continue Shopping or Proceed to Checkout. Proceeding to checkout, you will be shown the payment page:

Because I have ordered from my site before, my information (billing and shipping) is already in the system. If you are a new customer, your screen will be of one requiring your information. Once that is all in, your page will look like this one above.

If all looks good, and you are done shopping, click on Place Your Order and your order will be processed by Origami Owl Headquarters. Sit back, relax, and wait patiently for your beautiful locket to arrive.

Origami Owl Gets Interactive | Summer 2016 Catalog

Since the beginning, Origami Owl Custom Jewelry has been about creating and telling your personal stories in a locket. One locket may be the birth of a child and another to commemorate the life of a special loved one. Another locket may be to display your favorite holiday such as the 4th of July that takes place year after year while another locket is to capture a once in a lifetime event such as a wedding. Whatever your locket may be, there are 5 Steps to create a locket: Charms, Locket, Chain, Personalize, and Accessorize. This is what makes Origami Owl so unique; the ability to have a say in everything that goes into your locket creation. This is also what makes a Jewelry Bar so special: the ability to create your locket among friends and family in an intimate setting.
