Being almost 2 years with Origami Owl, I have heard many amazing stories from customers and Ind. Designers on what Origami Owl means to them. There are times of laughter, and sometimes even times of tears as we all endure growing pains. Naturally, we gravitate towards noticing the bad and frustrations over the good and the laughs. I can sit here all day and type up all the good and fun I have had being here but I thought, why not share the O2 lives of those on my team? I think that would be more powerful and beneficial to my readers, don’t you?
So here it is. I introduce to you Christi. This is her story of her launch party and her words of wisdom.
My Launch Party was a complete success on Saturday!!!! My husband did great with the kids, which meant so much to me, made having the party less stressful, sometimes I struggle with that part when I have parties and have to leave my kids on the weekend, especially working five days a week already, but I didn’t skip a beat and it was amazing:)
The party started off well before guests even arrived, because I had already had nine on-line orders totaling over six hundred dollars:) I had all my guests show but two and some guests even brought friends with them:) I had roughly $1700 in sales at the close of the show. It was so much fun to hang out with ladies and tell them about the product and watch them build their lockets. I got five bookings off the JB as well…woo hoot!
I am waiting patiently for my first designer:)
My JB was scheduled from 2-6, everyone had pretty much left by 415, but I knew I had one more guest who was coming once she got off work, so I kept up my display and she got there about 5. This was the highlight of the entire show, she is an older lady I attend church with so I really didn’t mind waiting, she is just so sweet. The best part was that we built her locket together, we took about an hour to build it, going through every piece and her putting it together and telling me about each charm and going back and forth trying to make it perfect. At one point we were on our knees looking at every charm, making it just right and trying on all the chains. I loved it! I wish I could have done that with every customer, but sadly that usually isn’t possible, because you are having to check people out once they are complete with their orders. So being able to do that with her, made the icing for the cake.
I do O2 as a hobby, having a full time job, mother of two, I say three with a husband:), working on my Master’s Degree and maintaining a household is hard work. So being able to be a part of this amazing company and enjoying it makes it priceless. I love that I can do this when I can and making memories with so many women and being a part of such a great group as this:)
My small words of wisdom to all our ladies, regardless if you do this as a hobby or to support your family income, ensure that you enjoy it and make the moments memorable, love what you do and do what you love!
I, Jennylou, cannot and will never promise you earnings or how big your party will be, but I can promise you that O2 can be rewarding in more ways than one.
