Join February 18 and get the Origami Owl 02 Aqua Blue Bracelet FREE!
4 years ago, January 2012, I joined Origami Owl and I really didn’t think it would go anywhere. I just thought it was real pretty and I was now 30 and I needed more things like jewelry (and shoes… and purses). I’ve tried other companies, I’ve pushed and annoyed people to buy the products I was peddling, and nothing stuck or made it worth my while. I couldn’t keep “working” and not be financially rewarded for it. Who wants to work for free forever? I didn’t.
I bought a kit on my friend’s Origami Owl website, not to sell it, as at this point, I figured I could not even sell ice to people in the dessert. I bought for a discount to all this stuff that I wanted. Buying a kit was the best way to a discount (I love me a bargain and stretching my limited dollars as far as I could). Someone had said that the kit made the jewelry 60% off retail and everything else I wanted from Origami Owl later would be 30 or 50% off retail pricing. This was a shopper’s dream! Sounded like a great deal, especially since I wanted everything they were selling.
My stuff came in in a plain brown recycled corrugated box. Today, if you were to sign up, you would get this:
Whaaaat?!!! Yep. That is far from the brown cardboard box that I got in January 2012.
Yes, mine was nothing fancy and little did I know that it was the door to a new path (and pay I had never had before), along with experiences I’ve never had in my 3 decades of being alive.
What happened next?
It took 3 days to get to me from Arizona. I had posted a picture of a locket from the company’s site and a friend of mine asked me to tell her more about this pretty locket. She said she might want get a kit too – she wanted to join too!
When my box got here, I took my box to her house and we opened it together. She became my first Origami Owl teammate and the first Senior Team Leader of my success line who helped me promote to Executive Team Leader with Origami Owl.
My Origami Owl story is now 4 years in the making and include getting out of debt (paid off credit cards, cars, and living on cash) while indulging in things such as jewelry, purses, and shoes. I also get my heart’s fill by being able to bless others locally and globally from the funds earned from my Origami Owl business. Oh, and I won’t forget the friends along the way and the fun business trips too! I’ve been all over Southern California for local and regional events and have flown to Phoenix, Arizona; Chicago, Illinois; and Naples, Florida. Florida was FREE! O2 paid for that – including airfare!
Who doesn’t love FREE? Here with Origami Owl, you will have plenty access to FREE things and here is your first shot at something FREE:
A gorgeous ensemble with an exclusive plate available only to those joining today, February 18, 2016!

Did you know that this can be your source of funds or an ongoing fundraiser year round by you? Skip the same old and increase margins. You can use this as a vessel to raise your group’s funds. Make 20-40% profit in every piece sold. Sell 5 sets of lockets and receive 10% more in commissions at the rate of 30-50%. 10 Tips for a Successful Facebook Origami Owl Jewelry Bar
We are all busy. Things get pushed aside, pushed to later, and sometimes it gets used to never despite our purest intentions. People love a great deal and people love free but I have learned that people are not as easily wanting to give up their time for a great deal and even for free products. This is the case for many who are interested in hosting Origami Owl Jewelry Bars. They love the products, they love giving and receiving it but how can they fit it in their schedule and the schedule of their friends? One way us to beat the problem of time of location is to host a Facebook Jewelry Bar.
People have given tutorials on how to conduct the perfect Facebook party with the perfect pictures and words to say but in the end, found it to be a waste of time. My hope with this post is to share with you tips on how to make your Facebook party better, attended, and more profitable. Many of these tips are from Senior Director Carla New & Heidi Russell with a bit of it from me and here I share them with you.
Before the Facebook Jewelry Bar
Tip # 1. Invite people 2 different ways – personal FB message and postcard, FB message or phonetical or text.
Do not invite 500+ people on your FB friends list. It is not genuine and not beneficial. FB mass invite will not work, FB mass message convo will not work. Indv invite them by PM, text, postcard.
To increase turnout on FB parties 1. invite several ways (already mentioned above) 2. Red Stamp. An app where you can text them with ecard to remind them of the FB Party.
Tip # 2. Be in a partnership with the Hostess. You are not to do all the work before, during and after the FB Jewelry Bar. Do not force the hostess as that would naturally lead to such situations. We love to make Facebook Jewelry Bars to be convenient, easy, simple and fun and it is – but kindly decline if a Hostess is not committed to personally inviting people in 2 different ways and participating.
Tip #3. Hostess Coaching starts immediately. Face to face is best. Phone is second. If they do not have time to meet with you to hostess coach over coffee and for her to understand that this is to have an event that is best turnout for everyone’s time, probably do not want to do the online party. In a regular jewelry bar, you are lugging all your stuff to her house for a couple hours. Though you are not lugging your jewelry in an online party, you are taking time out to other important things. We are all busy. Your time is precious. Ensure the best turnout by committed people.
Tip #4. Commit to date and time for the FB party and write it down on the calendar. While laying out the game plan, commit to her being engaged on the event wall. Just like a Jewelry bar in home, the hostess is there to mingle, engage, connect everyone in attendance. This is the same set up. Start an Event and have people show up in their pajamas.Tip #5. Decide the length of the party. Some FB parties will do a short event such as posts spanning 1 – 2 hours. Some events are week long and the Ind. Designer and Hosts will post throughout the week. Whichever it is, make sure both of you are committed to be engaging. You can post questions, games, and she can answer or have a set of questions or things for her to post.
Pointers to make it a smooth sailing Facebook Jewelry Bar
Tip # 6. Plan. Plan to execute the plan. Execute the plan. Add pictures and some content before adding or inviting people to the events page. Nothing is more awkward than being invited to and added into an empty invite or online party. Also, keep in mind that those already invited or added may get FB notifications each and every move your or the Hostess makes such as the posting of pictures and info on the page – information that should have already been there. Excessive notifications can become annoying and have people not take part BEFORE they even know what it is and before it really starts. Think of putting up the necessary information BEFORE adding people.
Tip # 7. Have a folder on your desktop of things that you will use for the online FB party…. have a itinerary (use the JB steps from the back office) and have the photos and links ready to go on a folder.
Tip # 8. Tell them about our stories, better yet, use links of the videos we have in the back office. Visuals are great. Use excellent our company product pictures. Create likeable content, post how-to’s (how to wear our jewelry (we have tons of pics we can take from the o2 main FB page). You may include parts of our FAQ (on the bottom of all of our replicated websites), post fun quotes, trivia, games and o2 stories.
Tip # 9.. Ask for outside orders, reward referrals, offer to mail them catalogs or supplements but most of all, make a connection.
Tip # 10. Reward attendees with free charms for those participating/participated in the event or those winning the games, and those who earned them for attending or bringing their friends along to the FB party.Origami Owl does not give us an exact layout on how to conduct a FB party as we are to follow what we do at a regular jewelry bar – and we are all different in style and audience – but my hope is that all the above is taken into account before you partner with a Hostess on an online Jewelry Bar. Just because it is an online FB, do not commit steps of a Jewelry Bar. Use the layout of the JB Steps from our back office. Online invites are online and many times, because it is online, it may be out of sight and out of mind. The goal is to make it real to them (hostess and attendees) and as close as possible to a live FB Jewelry Bar. Again, the success of a jewelry bar – online and on location – is primarily on the partnership between the ID and the Hostess – so keep those ties tight!

Top 5 Reasons to Join Origami Owl for Fall 2015
You may have heard it before, but I will say it again. It may be time that you…..
The holidays are here. People are going to be in the shopping mood for gifts – you yourself is looking for the perfect gift to others – and you may just be the right person to fill your – and their – gift giving wishes.
Have you considered sharing the love of Origami Owl? Here are 5 reasons why you should consider joining our team this season:
- Origami Owl is brand new and only less than 4 years old. That means a wide open field of selling for you. It may look like “everyone” cows about this company because “everyone” is online but all the time, I meet people who have never heard or never have seen Origami Owl offline and in person. It is true that many have yet to hear about this amazing company that lets each person customize a living locket unique to the giver AND the receiver.
- Origami Owl has the best in quality and in price. Our goal is to give you the best quality from us while at the best possible price for you. There are other lockets out there that attempt to lure with their low prices. When they do catch your eye, do take a close look at what they are offering. Origami Owl awaits you.
- Origami Owl allows you to make money sharing what you love. I love seeing the eyes light up as people create their lockets will all the Origami Owl pieces that tell their story. I love hearing how such a small gift can make such a great impact on someone’s dark world. I love being a part of the stories that customers and friends share with each locket they give and receive. I love that all this good allows me to make money as well. 30% – 50% commission on every piece of jewelry sold to customers at retail goes to your pocket! And as an Ind. Designer, you get everything you want at 30 – 50% off retail.
- Origami Owl is unveiling more exclusives this season than ever before. Halloween-themed jewelry will not only have exclusive charms this year but have a plate to be the perfect backdrop to your Halloween locket. Thanksgiving charms and plate will rekindle great customs, stories, and eats that we’ve come to know as part of Thanksgiving Day. Holiday charms to celebrate Hanukah and Christmas will also make its debut with new charms and pieces sure to delight your holiday look this season. Make sure to stay tuned for all the things to come. There is so much sparkle and excitement in the air with Origami Owl. If it doesn’t get you to join us this season, nothing else will.
- Origami Owl is so much more than jewelry. Not only does it help the lives of Ind. Designers with the cash they need but the existence of the company help lives way beyond its Ind. Designers. For example, wherever the company goes, Origami Owl gives back to a charity or non-profit organization in that area. When they were here in San Diego, I helped coordinate with reaching Hidden Treasures, an organization set to help women receive the much needed necessities and basics of life after being rescued from human trafficking and sexual exploitation. They truly believe in leaving a place better than they came in and to always being a force for good. When you join Origami Owl, you are a part of this good.
Join today and start your story, your journey, and partnering with a force for good.
I look forward to connecting with you. Of course you have questions. I look forward to answering them for you. You can reach me at jennylou@locketsandcharms.com.
