Origami Owl: Use the Charm Trays for a More Interactive Jewelry Bar

January 28, 2014 by Jennylou

If you have paraded only just a little bit online or have made your way to a local jewelry bar, you may have seen the variety of ways Origami Owl Independent Designers range in their display tables. This may change a bit in the coming months, but not because the company does not want individuality or have anything against the company who sell these jem cases that 80%* of Independent Designers use for their Jewelry Bars.

Here is the #1 gripe against them: The use of these gem jars do not tell the guests, “Come touch me, touch everything, play and create your story in a locket.” As the charms are perfectly placed and covered for perfect viewing, it says the opposite.

How to Join Origami Owl with my Team Haute Parliament in 2014!!

January 9, 2014 by Jennylou

I have potential Origami Owl designers  asking “Are you accepting new designers on your team?” and “Can you be my Mentor?” And my answer is, “Why, yes and yes =)

But don’t just take my word for it!  As with anything, first, get to know me as I’d like to get to know you.  Joining Origami Owl is a huge deal.  Choosing  who you join with (your Mentor) is even a bigger deal!

It isn’t like we’re getting married or anything, or is it? 😉  Actually, once you have chosen a Mentor, you are together forever for your entire* Origami Owl life! So choose wisely or forever hold your piece.

So then, where do we go from here?
STEP 1: See if you like me.  Take a look at my postings on my Facebook Page, and watch some videos on my YouTube Channel.  You will get a feel if I am the type of person that can – not only be your Mentor – but be someone you can easily connect and talk to.

STEP 2: Get a hold of me!  There are so many ways to get a hold of me, pick one!

Call or Text: 858-243-4568

Snail Mail: PO Box 27264, San Diego, CA 92198

STEP 3:  Choose 1 of the following:

Option A.

For whatever reason, you didn’t like me.  (Totally fine. Not everyone is for everyone).  At this point, you would continue your search for another Mentor.  Research for a Mentor. I have provided tips on how to do that at  http://www.locketsandcharms.com/what-is-a-mentor-and-how-do-i-choose-one-for-my-origami-owl-independent-designer-business/.  There are so many amazing Independent Designers in this company that would love to have you.  You simply have to love them back. I would be even glad to help you find your perfect match – and no, I don’t recommend based on my benefit and only the amazing ones inside my team.  I seriously want you to find your perfect Mentor.  There are waaaaay too many people in this world who don’t like who they work with and your Origami Owl Mentor should not have to be one of them too =) Simply do some due diligence and you are all good.

Option B.

You tell me, “I choose you Pikachu!” and we are off to soar in high places!  We reconnect, we do a more in-depth interview of each other to reveal your dreams and goals and expectations.  I give you a bit of a run down of how I work and what I do (http://www.locketsandcharms.com/what-does-jennylou-raya-origami-owl-independent-designer-do-for-her-team/ ) and if you are still liking me after all that, and still want to join with me, then I encourage you  to Join Our Team Haute Parliament.

STEP 4: Get Ready to take action. Once you are registered as one of my Independent Designers, fear not, for you will hear from me again and again and again.  Don’t worry, I won’t hound you but I do stay consistent in staying true to my promise and what I have told you I will do for you.  I will not be that one you sing up with and never hear from again 😉  I send out a ‘Welcome to the Team’ email at first site, Team Tuesday emails every other week or so will follow that contain marketing tips and words that I hope will inspire you to learn and grow. I will then, send out invites to my private Origami Owl FB groups for those that are on FB.  But for those not online, no worries; I still do random phone calls and messages of encouragement, “greeting/hello” cards, offers to train you over the phone or face to face to those who have chosen to join with me.  Some trainings are done via email that say on the bottom, “After you have read this, please let me know so that I may send you the next one.”  And even If you don’t ever want to connect, know that you will still reap the benefits from being part of the team.
*** So that is it…that is how you Join Our Team Haute Parliament., Mentor of Team Haute Parliament ID #1186. ***

Are you ready Origami Owl stairs

Remember, just as companies interview people before considering them for the job, interview for your future mentor because they will be working for you and with you.  Origami Owl pays Mentors overrides for mentoring, so why not get a good one on their dime?  Get on the phone or grab a cup of coffee with potential mentors and see if you two jive.  You may jive with someone across the nation more than the one in your own home town!

Not ready to join yet?  Totally fine,  Let me know if I interest you in any bit and I would love to add you to my ‘Team Haute Parliament Q & A,’ Facebook Group, a place were those not sure about o2 but would like to stick around can gather and ask their questions.

Yes, it’s true in general…

Good Things Come to those who wait

But remember…. if you’re like me who waited 2 months before joining, you will always be wishing you have joined right away.

And to anyone reading this, my hope for you is NOT this:One Year from Now Origami Owl

Because you did start today!

* Origami Owl will not change your Mentor to someone else after 10 days of being with Origami Owl – unless for extreme circumstances. Please see Policies and Procedures for details.  You not liking him or her is not enough reason for Origami Owl to change you from your Mentor to anotheer. So, choose wisely 🙂

xoxo,

Q: I Have my 1st Team Mate, How Do You Mentor Such a Large Team?

November 20, 2013 by Jennylou

Answer:

Hi J:

I do it with a lot of madness 😉 jk!!! Congrats on your first team mate. I have found that designers that now have the responsibility of mentoring someone makes one more “grown up” or take a little more care of their business selves and have a new level of awareness, almost like a woman who has her first baby, one simply wants to rise up and be better. “Love What You Do and Do What You Love” – Christi’s Launch Party

November 19, 2013 by Jennylou

Being almost 2 years with Origami Owl, I have heard many amazing stories from customers and Ind. Designers on what Origami Owl means to them.  There are times of laughter, and sometimes even times of tears as we all endure growing pains. Naturally, we gravitate towards noticing the bad and frustrations over the good and the laughs. I can sit here all day and type up all the good and fun I have had being here but I thought, why not share the O2 lives of those on my team?  I think that would be more powerful and beneficial to my readers, don’t you?

So here it is.  I introduce to you Christi.  This is her story of her launch party and her words of wisdom.

My Launch Party was a complete success on Saturday!!!! My husband did great with the kids, which meant so much to me, made having the party less stressful, sometimes I struggle with that part when I have parties and have to leave my kids on the weekend, especially working five days a week already, but I didn’t skip a beat and it was amazing:)

The party started off well before guests even arrived, because I had already had nine on-line orders totaling over six hundred dollars:) I had all my guests show but two and some guests even brought friends with them:) I had roughly $1700 in sales at the close of the show. It was so much fun to hang out with ladies and tell them about the product and watch them build their lockets. I got five bookings off the JB as well…woo hoot!

I am waiting patiently for my first designer:)

Origami Owl Do What You Love
Click to start doing what you love!

My JB was scheduled from 2-6, everyone had pretty much left by 415, but I knew I had one more guest who was coming once she got off work, so I kept up my display and she got there about 5. This was the highlight of the entire show, she is an older lady I attend church with so I really didn’t mind waiting, she is just so sweet. The best part was that we built her locket together, we took about an hour to build it, going through every piece and her putting it together and telling me about each charm and going back and forth trying to make it perfect. At one point we were on our knees looking at every charm, making it just right and trying on all the chains. I loved it! I wish I could have done that with every customer, but sadly that usually isn’t possible, because you are having to check people out once they are complete with their orders. So being able to do that with her, made the icing for the cake.

I do O2 as a hobby, having a full time job, mother of two, I say three with a husband:), working on my Master’s Degree and maintaining a household is hard work. So being able to be a part of this amazing company and enjoying it makes it priceless. I love that I can do this when I can and making memories with so many women and being a part of such a great group as this:)

My small words of wisdom to all our ladies, regardless if you do this as a hobby or to support your family income, ensure that you enjoy it and make the moments memorable, love what you do and do what you love!

I, Jennylou,  cannot and will never promise you earnings or how big your party will be, but I can promise you that O2 can be rewarding in more ways than one.

Learn more about Christi and her Origami Owl Business, please visit her O2 Facebook page.  Thank you Christi for allowing me to share your story =)
