Does Origami Owl Have Summer Job Openings or College Internships Available?

I was recently asked this question from one of my networking groups: Does Origami Owl Have Summer Job Openings or College Internships Available?

The sales company that I am an Independent Designer for does not offer summer/temporary positions or college internships as we know “internships,” but being an Independent Designer (ID) with the company offers teens and students the flexible work and money making opportunities they need that a summer or temporary job is sought to fill.

Origami Owl is able to offer you that “temporary job” but with so much more. With Origami Owl, you can hire yourself not only in the summer time but also anytime year round such as Christmas or Spring Break.

This is an amazing opportunity for many reasons: Starting with Origami Owl puts student up front and center with Entrepreneurship, Marketing, Customer Care, Public Relations, and Financial Management for Business as a student engages with Origami Owl as an Independent Designer.

These skills are acquired by women as young as 14years old as they sign up to sell beautiful lockets and charms to friends and family through online, catalog, or in home party sales. This is a direct sales model where the Independent Designer brings the products to her market of friends and family and beyond. IDs can purchase wholesale and sell at retail. They can also direct customers to their personal e-commerce site where one can order right off of it. If can also do live events with the help of a basic demo package or a larger one where people can take their lockets and charms home the same day.

Yes, this internship pays. It is commissioned sales and determined by the efforts of the Designer and the demand of their market. Like I said, not only can a student do this during the summer but also year round on his or her own schedule. Origami Owl teaches skills, it pays, and it is flixibel.

Lastly, Origami Owl goes where you go. You can take your lockets to the beach, on vacation, to grandmas, and still make $. What other internship, summer or temp job can offer all this?

How does one start? I will tell you how: If you are below 18 years old, you would need to fill out a Parent Authorization Form after accepting an Independent Designer Invitation from Origami Owl. You may consider getting started on the process today as there is a wait list to get in (weeks to a month of wait).

Success is… according to LocketsNcharms Origami Owl Independent Designer

As I look forward to the week, I open up a book from my favorite philosopher, Jim Rohn.

Mondays… it’s been known as the most hated day of the week. I’ve read somewhere that most heart attacks occur the night before and early Mondays as result of Monday approaching.

When you were school age, did you jump out every Monday as if it was your birthday?! Probably not (much props to you as the world felt the totally opposite). Can we get ourselves to the point where Monday is not such a drag?

Today is Monday and though I do not have to get into a cold car and fight through traffic, and do the same thing 8 hours later but this time the car is hot, and I have the best job in the world with Origami Owl mentoring and sharing lockets with really amazing women, there are times when I would rather not get out of my plush bed and just absorb the beautiful quatrefoil sheets and surroundings and the beautiful sunshine.

But this quote reminds me, consistency is the way to results – nothing magical and nothing mysterious. If I just laid there all day, what would that result to? Would it be good or would it be bad results? In my case, frustration; frustration over my list of things to do not getting crossed off and only having more things to do later. Of course rest is important and necessary in order to be whole and happy- main ingredients found in success. But do not forget that consistency and the application of basic fundamentals are required in order to have the natural occurrence of success.

What basic principles do you do to reach your success? What do you do consistently daily to stay on track and meet your success? Please share =)

Springing Forward with Origami Owl with Independent Designer LocketsNcharms

We all had one less hour today but instead of being bummed out about it, the family and I made the most of what hours we had left.

i stepped out of my door and looked up and could not help but be amazed at the pine tree hovering above our home. These are pine cones and they are blooming. Pine cone flowers?

Oh, before I stepped out, I put together this locket. It was beautiful and sunny… unlike the days before… rainy and gloomy. Today was a bright sun-shining day reminiscent of beach days with palm trees, sea shells, boats and of course, slippers.

The outing would never be complete without food. I have taken a recent liking to lamb as in gyro meat. I went to this place called The Kebab Shop with the family. Everyone was happy. I got my lamb, my kids got the rice they want and my hubby got his sandwich fix.

The kids met with their bedtime but they still did not want to go to bed. My daughter said that she was going to sleep during the commercials of The Bible Series. My son, he always just messes with me. He was trying to look like he was asleep. His smile can’t fool me 😉

So that was my day of springing forward with Origami Owl as part of my day. I am looking forward to tomorrow and every day after that because I love what I do and I love the opportunities Origami Owl has given me. Thanks for reading and hope to connect with you soon!

Hostess Rewards Rumors. Should I Book A Party Now or Later?

Question:

I want to book a party and already know a consultant. I have heard rumors that the hostess incentive program will change (for the better) in April. My consultant said her mentor/leader said April 16th. I did a Google search and found some independent Origami sites stating the change would occur in April but was not specific about a date.

Can you answer specifically when the new hostess rewards will take effect?? I want to schedule the party after these new changes.

Also, when will the spring catalog be available?

Hi A,

No one has a specific answer because no one was given a specific answer. On our company event in January, we were told that there would be new Hostess Rewards and were given an idea of what they would be but they also said, nothing is set in stone and no date has been determined. They are hoping sometime in april maybe May, but nothing more than that has been said (as far as I know).

I will say that depending on your party, you may be better off with the old one than the new one…. i posted the tentative “rough copy” of what the new rewards may be at http://www.locketsandcharms.com/origami-owl-new-hostess-reward-exclusive/

With the new one, if you have a party at $249, you only get $15 in free jewelry. Right now, or before the change, your free jewelry would be $24.9. I think it is best you do the party now. Between now and then, your friends may be invited or have bought an Origami Owl necklace elsewhere that would have been $50 – $125 that could have been towards your Hostess Rewards had they purchased from your party. At that point, the Hostess Rewards would be less anyway because you would have less sales at your party. Does that make sense?

Spring Catalogs… no date. We can only assume that it be at the same time since the Hostess Rewards would probably be printed in them.

We will not know until the home office tells us. Everyone is just so excited and speculating because they want to sound like they know but the truth is no one knows and I do not know more than what they told us in January.
