How to Pack for Origami Owl’s 1st Annual Convention #O2NationalConvention

The above was only half the stuff I need to bring to convention. I definitely needed to figure out a better way to pack if, especially, if I did not want to pay for luggage fees.

These are my 2 watches from Styles for Less. At least one or both of these will coordinate with an outfit in this bag.

I quickly realized that time was running out and I needed to get packing.  I turned to my FB friends for some help and it turned out that many were professional packers and told me how to go about packing for #o2nationalconvention.

Then I took to packing and shared the picture with the O2 Convention Group of Ladies. It was received well and I thought I would make a video too.  So, here it is:

Below is the final result of what my luggage looked like after everything was rolled.  There was still room to spare even after adding my Gala dress and White Out outfit!

Everyone is right, you fit a lot more by rolling the clothes! In my carry on luggage: 3 pairs of shoes, 2 pairs of shorts, 2 tees, 2 tops, 2 slacks, 2 dresses, necessities, beauty essentials, a bolero, sweater, and bathing suit =)

Give rolling clothes a shot and see how much you can fit in your luggage to #O2NationalConvention =)

Lucky 17 is Today’s Magic Number for Origami Owl

Why do I say this?

Today is June 17, 2013.

Today is Bella’s Birthday – she turned 17!  Happy Birthday Bella!

But that is not all.  The surprise  – the birthday gift – is for you!

 

Today Origami Owl sent invitations to 1700 to become Independent Designers!!!!  Today is the birthday for so many who have waited patiently to be a part of an amazing company.

 

Woohoo!  Back flips and jumping up and down over here and everywhere!!

 

Welcome to Origami Owl 1700 AMAZING Ladies and Gentlemen!  You are now here for a chance of something different – something better.

How to Create a Simple – yet Elegant – Origami Owl Gift Certificate

Step 1: Gather Supplies

1 – 12″ x 12″ cardstock for the envelope (aqua)

1 – coordinating scrap-booking paper (hot pink chevron) ( a 12″ x 12″ sheet cut into 3, using only 1, save 2 for future GCs)

1 – Official Origami Owl sticker (order from business supplies)

Adhesive – Glue dots, double sided tape, or scrapbooker’s glue pen

Scissors or paper cutter

Step 2: Get the Insides Together

Lay the TOM in the card stock and fold paper to size using the TOM as a guide.

Print out the Origami Owl Certificate on white card stock (blank GC available in the back office)

Fill out the GC and cut to size.

Attach the GC to the TOM.  I’ve used a paper clip with this one.

Step 3: Close it all up and embellish!

Seal the card stock paper envelope with adhesive of choice.

Wrap the scrapbook strip of paper to close it up (or add some embellishments for some extra pizazz)

Make it all come together with an official Origami Owl sticker!

Mail this out in another envelope to ensure that the recipient receives it in its full beauty!

Large Chocolate Living Locket ® with Crystals – My First Look

I just received my NEW favorite locket of all time. This one is a new addition to the Origami Owl Custom Jewelry line as of April 22, 2013 and I love it! I love my Choco-Locket!

Why do I love it? The color. It is called Chocolate but it is much more than that. It is not a Hershey’s chocolate look (though my camera likes to make it look that way) but is actually a much darker color it: a mixture of dark chocolate, slate, and brushed carbon steel. I paired it with the 30″ Classic Ball Chain and it is absolutely gorgeous.
