How to Design Your Origami Owl Jewelry Table of Lockets and Charms

February 27, 2013 by Jennylou

I have been asked so many times, of an updated video on how I set up my Origami Owl table.  And so, I did a video showing how I do it and how easy it is to do it.  Without talking and commentaries, Jennylou Raya, Independent Designer #1186 shows you how can set up and break down a table in less than 10 minutes together!

This table was built over time and with being an Origami Owl Designer over a year. I do prefer the make-and-take method where people take their lockets home that same night and I replenish my table after the party. The goal of this video is to show that a Designer’s table can be done fast, fun, and easy – and beautifully too – for you and your guests!

There is no “one method” of having a table. I’ve seen over a hundred tables. The deal is…  you stick to the Origami Owl branding – the colors, the owls, the fortune cookies, packaging, and things on the table clearly shows that it is an Origami Owl table. With my hundreds of charms and a hundred plates, this is what works for me. You will find the best way that works for you. Some do gem jars, some do bowls. Designers’ tables range from “Only look at everything and/or have an unspoken DO NOT TOUCH feel to it, while there are Designers’ tables do lots of stock on hand and tell people out loud PLEASE DO TOUCH EVERYTHING!!!

I have been informed that some have beef with my “baggies” for plates.  The baggies are hung nicely on an owl carousel sorting the hand-stamped plates by what they say on each.  One section for all the “love” plates, one section for all the “mom” plates and so on. Plates (almost 100 of them) are organized and easily viewable by party guests – easy to view, keep clean and best of all, my guests are not put off by other people’s oily fingerprints on them.  This what works for me and my business.  If you had/have these many things on your table, how would you display them?  I would love for you to share your video =)

I did forget to put up my really nice picture frames that hold the price cards (prices of lockets, charms, plates, chains, and dangles).  Don’t forget those on your table!  I once had a 6ft banner but someone never returned it to me.  I guess it was too pretty to give back  😉

Bags I carry everything in were bought from http://www.myinitials-inc.com/16239/. However, this print was discontinued January 2013.

Trays from nilecorp.com and fixtures that hold the plates and tags are from Home Goods. Thanks for asking!

What Display Items Come In the Origami Owl Kit?

February 21, 2013 by Jennylou

What display items come in the Origami Owl kit?

This is a question posed by one of my potential Designers in Waiting (DIW) that you may want to know too and so I answer that here:

You may have been of thinking about doing Origami Owl and have been “Googling” and watching my YouTube videos finding all you can about the company – even-more-so if you are a DIW and you just want to be as prepared as possible with business by the time that your kit arrives.

So here we go…

What items can I get through O2 for my jewelry bar and which items do I need locate on my own?

The short answer: None, unless it is paper.

That picture above show some of the display items they have available for purchase in our back office.

From back office:

The tall carousel thing that hangs the lockets can be bought from Origami Owl.

Neck forms – there are 2 sizes for them.  They are linen/burlap type of material to choose from.

Ceramic Owls come in 3 sizes (one not shown here).

Polka-dot bag to store your jewelry trays.

If you are a Designer and you do not see some of them in the back office, they may be out of stock.

This picture also shows some things not available in the back office and need to be bought elsewhere:

The picture frames the show the prices of things are from IKEA,
The white trays that hold in the the smaller gray trays (that do come in your kit) can be found at nilecorp.com,

Standing Tray with necklaces is not from Origami Owl.  I assume nilecorp.com too.
The ceramic dessert dishes and bowls can be found at home stores such as Home Goods, TJ Maxx, etc.

This is my table here at home…

Everything here except the jewelry and anything that says Origami Owl on it like the cups, I got from elsewhere, not from Origami Owl.

This video shows my basic set up at an event.  It varies slightly but this is the most of it:

The kit has the jewelry, business supplies as in order forms, and price signage, small gray trays, tweezers, etc.

There is a video of one of my New Owletts, Eva Small, with her $399 kit! Plus all the stuff she got for her business found everywhere else like Walmart and Target.  Go check her out!
